With more than 25 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Aimee remains ever-committed and deeply passionate about helping individuals of all ages and abilities achieve their wellness goals.
"I believe that movement is medicine," Aimee says. "And I take a great deal of pride in helping others build strength, resilience, and confidence in their bodies."
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where she also played softball during her freshman year. After graduating, she spent three transformative years as a volunteer teacher in Kingston, Jamaica, where she discovered a love for health and fitness. During her time there, she became certified to teach fitness because, as she says, "I had finally found my true calling."
When she returned to Chicago, she pursued certifications in Group Exercise and Personal Training through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Aimee began teaching group exercise classes and personal training while completing a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), earning a Fitness Specialist Designation along the way.
Building on an already impressive resume, she completed a 10-month internship in Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) along with other extensive MAT studies. Informed by these and other experiences, she founded Embody Fitness Inc., where for more than two decades, she has provided personal training services and corporate wellness programs across Chicagoland. She also serves as the Strength and Conditioning Trainer for Mammoth Girls Hockey, in Evanston and Skokie.
For 20 years, she had the pleasure of working at Energy Training Center until its closure in 2020. Afterward, she joined the "welcoming and knowledgeable" health and fitness collective at Bespoke Sport + Physio (BSP).
With clients aged from 12 to 90, she has domain expertise in post-rehabilitation "return to fitness," strength training for pre-and post-menopausal women, and student-athlete development.
"The best place to start is wherever you are," Aimee says. “I will meet you there and, together, we will go farther.”
