Brett’s passion for sport and wellness has driven his success as a physical therapist and trainer.
From an early age Brett found himself enamored with physical fitness as a means to improve performance and never looked back.
He also was a physical therapy patient on many occasions which sparked his interest in rehabilitation.
Brett has experienced fighting back from his own devastating knee injuries and has helped other athletes return to the field during his time as a team physical therapist for DePaul University's Division I Athletics Department. Brett now works with NBA players in their off season to improve their fitness and reduce risk for injury. This unique perspective enables Brett to push his clients towards gains in strength, endurance, power, and agility while improving their movement inefficiencies and reducing their risk for injury.
“Everyone has an inner athlete,” Brett says. “One of my jobs is to help people believe it, and to actuate it.” This belief influences his approach with each and every client. Brett considers individual client needs and goals; identifying and addressing strengths or weaknesses to help locate that “inner athlete”.
Brett earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois. Additional certifications include: Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist from the Ola Grimsby Institute, Trigger Point Dry Needling Level I and II, Integrative Dry Needling Level I and II, and Personalized Blood Flow Restriction Certification from Owens Recovery Science.
